A Family Wedding at Waterlily Gardens, Waihi

Arneia and Kealey’s wedding at Waterlily Gardens in Waihi was full of emotion, laughter and one slightly unexpected moment just before the ceremony. Right as everything was about to begin, Arneia’s dress decided it had other plans and broke at the worst possible moment. Like so many wedding day hiccups though, it quickly turned into one of those funny memories everyone will laugh about forever, and with a little help it was sorted just in time.

Waterlily Gardens is such a beautiful spot for a wedding, surrounded by lush greenery, peaceful water features and garden pathways. It’s the kind of venue that feels calm and intimate, perfect for couples wanting a relaxed celebration surrounded by nature.

One of the most special parts of the day was having Arneia and Kealey’s daughters there to celebrate with them. Their presence made the whole day feel even more meaningful, and it was clear how much love and connection surrounded this family.

Despite the small dress emergency before the ceremony, the rest of the day unfolded beautifully. There were heartfelt moments, plenty of laughter and the kind of genuine connection that makes weddings so special to photograph.
